Difference between Old Chinese and Mandarin Standard Chinese

From 2000 BC-3000 BC, Old Chinese was commonly used by the people in China. Old Chinese look was never used again because the Old Chinese lacked grammatical categories. Mandarin Standard Chinese now have four tones.
